Requirements for spray gun for spraying water-based wood paint

In the process of using water-based wood paint, the water-based paint spray gun is almost the same as the oil-based paint spray gun. Spray guns are divided into upper and lower pot spray guns, suction pump spray guns, airless spraying, electrostatic spray guns, etc. Here we analyze the difference between upper and lower pot spray guns and spray guns with suction pumps when using water-based wood paint, airless spraying and electrostatic spray gun use Less is not explained here.

1. Upper and lower pot spray gun: When using water-based wood primer, it is recommended to use a 1.8-caliber paint spray gun, and the amount of water can be controlled at 5-10%. It is recommended to use a 1.5-caliber spray gun when using water-based wood paint topcoats, and the amount of water added should be controlled at about 10%;

2. Spray gun with suction pump: 1.5-caliber water-based paint spray gun can be used when using water-based wood paint primer and topcoat, and the amount of water added can also be controlled at 5%. The primer can also be without water, because it has a suction pump. The paint flow rate of the spray gun is relatively large.

Precautions:

When spraying water-based paint and oil-based paint at the same time in a spray booth, pay attention to the contamination of the water-based wood paint by the thinner of the oil-based paint. The bucket lid of the water-based paint must be tightly closed. Shrinkage craters will appear when the paint mist falls into the wet film of the water-based wood paint.

And try not to use the same paint spray gun to spray water-based wood paint and oil-based paint, because the spray gun that has been sprayed with oil-based paint is difficult to clean, and a little oil-based paint or thinner can destroy the surface effect of water-based paint. White and other bad phenomena.
